Sad and sick. Those two words perfectly sum up the situation currently facing a charity known for fighting against child abuse.

The 22-year-old chairman of the International Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence and Nobel Peace prize nominee, Joel Davis, was arrested in New York on Tuesday. He’s been accused of “trying to set up sexual encounters between himself and young children” — some as young as two-years-old — “as well as soliciting an undercover FBI agent to send sexually explicit videos of minors, according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail reported:

Davis allegedly told the [FBI] agents that he was sexually interested in children of all ages. He is accused of sending the agents sexually explicit photographs of infants and toddlers, including some of the children engaged in sex acts with adults.

The 22-year-old allegedly arranged to meet the nine-year-old daughter of one of the undercover agents and with the purported two-year-old daughter of the officer’s girlfriend.

He allegedly went into detail in the text messages about what sexual activities he intended to engage in with the children.

Ugh. This dude is next-level disturbed.

Davis — who the Daily Mail discovered through a Facebook search was a Hillary Clinton supporter and that he possibly worked on Clinton’s 2016 campaign — was officially charged with “enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of child pornography and receipt and distribution of child pornography” in a Manhattan federal court.

If the allegations against Davis turn out to be true, the courts need to throw the book at this guy. To use your position of power to mentally corrupt children for your own personal enjoyment is as U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Herman described the allegations against Davis, “unfathomable” and “sickening.”
