An international bridge linking El Paso, Texas to Mexico was temporarily shut down yesterday following a migrant riot that forced border agents to take action.

CBP officials said they were forced to set up physical barriers preventing north-bound traffic on the Paso del Norte International Bridge after a group of angry migrants on the Mexico side of the bridge broke through barriers there and tried to physically force their way to the other side. Large groups of soon-to-be-illegal aliens also tried to bully their way across the Stanton Bridge and the Bridge of the Americas, causing traffic delays.

And the scene was nothing short of chaotic.

The migrants were reportedly frustrated with being told to wait on the Mexican side of the border to be processed into the United States in an orderly fashion.

Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar, one of the few House Democrats who has called attention to the Biden administration’s self-inflicted border crisis, said the chaotic scene doesn’t exactly help migrants make their case for why they should be let into the country.

“This is the type of event that doesn’t help them. It doesn’t help the migrant make their case,” he said. “I know that they’re tired of waiting and all that, but this type of thing just doesn’t help their case. Even the president is saying, now, ‘Let’s have ’em come in in an orderly process,’ you know. What they’re doing, trying to rush through, doesn’t help their case one bit at all. It does become a little frustrating.”
