Chicago is beginning to get what it deserves as a result of the city going further left after complaining for years about ousted former Mayor Lori Lightfoot. Don’t feel bad in the least for the people of the city who elected far-left activist Brandon Johnson as their new mayor, who ironically won’t do a damn thing about delivering the Windy City from the crime that plagues it.

In fact, following the riot that happened in downtown Chicago this past Saturday evening, while  both the outgoing Lightfoot and the incoming Johnson referred downplayed the riot merely as young people wanting to “enjoy the entirety of [the] city.”

“It's not the first time that we've addressed these issues,” Lightfoot said, according to ABC 7 - Chicago, “but our young people have an opportunity and a right to enjoy the entirety of our city, but they have to do it in a way that is respectful for people and property.”

And while Johnson called the riot “unacceptable,” he did make excuses for the young rioters, saying “it is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities.”

So that’s an excuse for the supposedly demonized “youth” to ruin the city for everyone else simply because their parents failed as parents, their school system failed them in almost every way and the city failed them by not holding anyone accountable for their actions, paving the way for the behavior we saw over the weekend.

It’s not exactly clear what started the riot, but that didn’t stop hundreds of young people from acting like animals and destroying the city in which they live — because that’ll show ‘em!

Apparently, the excuse outlets are using for the riot, which very few of them are actually calling a riot, is because of a supposed curfew that police didn’t enforce in the first place.

Rioters lit cars on fire, bashed in the windshields of multiple vehicles, interrupted public transit routes and reportedly even targeted police vehicles.

I can’t imagine why a curfew would be put in place for such well-adjusted youth as those within Chicago, even though like I said, the police apparently don’t enforce it, otherwise there wouldn’t have been a riot at all.

Don’t weep for Chicago. They did this to themselves.
