Clinton Campaign Asks Why You Support Clinton, Doesn’t Let You Explain Why

Hillary Clinton’s president campaign wants to know why you’re supporting her presidential campaign, but doesn’t care about specifics, unless the reason why you’re supporting her is because she’s a woman or that you’re afraid of Republicans.

In a survey sent out to supporters, Clinton’s campaign asks, “What motivated you to get involved in this campaign?”

The choices given are “a particular issue,” “time for a woman president,” “long-time Hillary supporter,” “afraid of the Republican agenda,” or “other.”

The answer choices to the question, “Why are you most likely to donate to this campaign?” aren’t much different.

The potential answers to the question about donating are “to protect Hillary from attacks,” “because the campaign asks,” “to win a chance to meet Hillary,” “to support an issue,” “because of new poll numbers,” “to help build the organization,” or “I’m afraid of a Republican president.”

Selecting that you support Clinton because of “a particular issue” or that you want to donate “to support an issue” does not provide individuals a chance to clarify the issue they care enough about to support Clinton’s candidacy in particular.

Both questions, however, allow individuals to choose they support Clinton and would be likely to donate to Clinton because they’re “afraid” of Republicans.
