You know the state of the Democratic Party must be bad if Hillary Clinton is telling them to change their ways.
Clinton called out progressives for championing “activist causes” like transgender issues, as well as their ardent push to defund the police.
Clinton believes that progressives fixation on these issues could end up costing them the 2024 presidential election.
“Look, the most important thing is to win the next election,” Clinton said. “The alternative is so frightening that whatever does not help you win should not be a priority.”
Clinton was talking about the 2024 presidential election, but called out progressives' logic on some of the issues that they have championed in recent memory.

“You need accountable measures. But you also need policing,” Clinton said in reference to the defund the police movement. “It doesn’t even pass the common-sense politics test not to believe that.”
Gee, thanks for saying what most Americans with a sliver of common sense already know, and have been saying for the past two years.
Clinton added that a change in strategy is so important that it could have a major impact on the future of America.
“We are standing on the precipice of losing our democracy, and everything that everybody else cares about then goes out the window,” Clinton said.
