Here's a strange story; CNN Host and Political Commentator Van Jones has been named by a left-leaning publication of working with the Trump Administration on police reform.
In an article published on Sunday by the Daily Beast, author Lloyd Grove claimed that “he had actually attended secret White House meetings with his new friend Jared Kushner, discussing ways to frame the presidential project (referring to police reform).’
“[Jones] provoked even more liberal distress and anger when he ladled praise on a so-called police reform initiative by President Donald Trump,” alleged Grove.
Van Jones responded to the accusations via Twitter, claiming that, “[He hasn’t] even visited DC since before the pandemic started — let alone been inside the White House.”
(1/5) This @TheDailyBeast article is based on false, sensational charges -- apparently designed to get clicks, shares, and likes. I haven’t even visited DC since before the pandemic started — let alone been inside the White House.

“I will continue to openly work across the aisle to help those trapped in the justice system,” Jones concluded.
However, the Daily Beast stood by their reporting, claiming that their “knowledgeable White House source” said Jones worked very closely with the White House on the police reform executive order.
Shortly after the release of the article, #FireVanJones began to trend on Twitter with supporters calling for his removal from CNN.
Van Jones worked on a bill with the Trump administration, went on TV to praise that bill, and failed to disclose his involvement.
