Weird things happen in college baseball, but something happened on Sunday that goes was unexpected, and potentially criminal.

In the second game of a baseball double header between rival NAIA schools Bethany College and Kentucky Wesleyan University, players for KWU were appalled to discover that their water cooler was filled with a foreign substance they claimed was paint thinner.

The Lindsborg, Kansas police department is investigating the incident, and the guilty party (whomever it may be) “criminal threat; contaminate food/water sources,” “battery; knowingly/recklessly causing bodily harm,” and “criminal damage to property; without consent < $1000,” according to a police report obtained by OutKick.

I’m sorry, but have the adults left the room?

Pranks have their place, even in sports, but if this truly was paint thinner or some other poisonous substance, there is absolutely no way to justify this.

Despite not having any clean water to drink, Kentucky Wesleyan hammered Bethany by a score of 33-2, a fitting way to end the weekend.
