U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi hosted a hot dog barbeque for law enforcement officers in D.C. Sunday evening, feeding the force before they headed out to protect citizens under President Donald Trump’s executive order to clean up the crime emergency in the Nation’s Capital.
“No better way to spend a Sunday night! Make DC Safe Again!” Bondi wrote on social media, posting a photo from the event.

“To our officers: thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to putting your lives on the line to keep us safe, especially during this surge operation.”

“Washington, DC is getting safer every night thanks to our law enforcement partners,” AG Bondi wrote in a post on Monday, reporting that 137 arrests were made and 21 illegal firearms seized over the weekend. In the week since Pres. Trump issued his executive order deploying federal law enforcement to assist D.C. police, there have been nearly 400 arrests.
“And we are not slowing down. We are committed to making DC safe again!” Bondi declared.
