After Hamas murdered six hostages Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) were attempting to rescue, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten called for “anger” against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not accepting Hamas’ demands.

“[A]nger must be placed at Netanyahu’s feet for his refusal to consummate cease fire/ hostage release deal," Weingarten wrote on social media Sunday, the day after the terrorist group killed the hostages, including Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin:

“Our hearts are breaking for the families of the hostages Hamas murdered. At the same time anger must be placed at Netanyahu’s feet for his refusal to consummate cease fire/hostage release deal."

“[I]t is unconscionable that Israeli PM Netanyahu has refused to seal a cease-fire deal with Hamas that would bring the hostages home and end the humanitarian crisis of Gaza,” Weingarten followed up in another post, condemning Netanyahu for refusing to give in to the terrorist group’s terms for a cease-fire.

“Whoever murders hostages – does not want a deal,” Netanyahu wrote in a post on Sunday:

“For our part, we will not relent. The Government of Israel is committed, and I am personally committed, to continue striving toward a deal that will return all of our hostages and ensure our security and our existence.”
