The 2024 Democrat platform approved Monday at the party’s convention devotes a section to outlining pro-abortion initiatives.

The platform boasts of the Biden-Harris administration’s program offering pro-abortion legal services provided by an army of advocates:

“And we are ensuring access to accurate information and legal resources, including by launching ReproductiveRights.gov and convening more than 200 lawyers and advocates to support abortion-related legal defense services.”

Abortion agenda goals outlined in the Democrats’ 2024 platform include:

  • “Clarifying that federal law on emergency care preempts state abortion bans.”
  • “Challenging threats from Republicans to prosecute people who help women travel to a different state for abortion care.”
  • “Pass national legislation to make Roe the law of the land again.”
  • “Continue to support access to FDA-approved medication abortion.”
  • “Appoint leaders at the FDA” and “appoint judges” who support abortion.
  • “Repeal the Hyde Amendment.”

The Hyde Amendment bans the use of federal funds for abortion, except for terminating pregnancies that endanger the life of the woman or result from rape or incest.
