Democrats and legacy media may hate President Donald Trump’s nomination of Kash Patel to head the FBI, but former FBI agents, police and past colleagues say he’s a qualified, much-needed pick.
As soon as President-elect Trump announced Patel’s nomination to replace FBI Director Christopher Wray last November, liberal media launched attacks in an ongoing attempt to smear, vilify and discredit him. And, despite his prior experience as senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council and later as the chief of staff for acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, liberal media are continuing to claim Patel is unqualified and a danger to the nation.
But, within days of Patel’s nomination, the National Police Association announced its endorsement of him:
“The National Police Association (NPA) proudly expresses our full support for Kash Patel's nomination to serve as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
“Kash Patel's extensive career in national security, law enforcement, and public service has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law, defending justice, and protecting the American people.”
“We firmly believe that Kash Patel's appointment as FBI Director will mark a pivotal moment for law enforcement and public safety across the United States,” NPA’s endorsement says.
Likewise, former FBI agents quickly came forward to voice their support for Patel’s nomination to serve as the Bureau’s next director, including:
- Former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jeff Danik
- Former FBI Special Agent Stuart Kaplan
- Former FBI Agent Dal Rae Beach
- Former FBI Agent Daniel Boyer
- Former FBI Agent Ben Sothers
- FBI whistleblower Steve Friend
“This guy is completely and 100% qualified to run that organization. He's what's needed today. He's the right fix,” Danik told Just the News, cheering Patel’s promise to end the political weaponization of the FBI. “I think this is personal, that he's been a victim himself of the system.”
A large number of current FBI agents are “highly, highly supportive” of both Patel and President-elect Trump, Danik noted.
Kaplan called Patel an “excellent choice” to reform the FBI in an interview on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
“I embrace the chance to see that the political and weaponization gig at the FBI is over,” Parker, who says she left the bureau because it “began to crumble,” said in an interview on Fox News Channel.
Beach, Boyer and Sothers all endorsed Patel in interviews with The Washington Times, calling him the right man to head the FBI because he’s willing to do what’s necessary to end the toxic culture that permeates the Bureau.
“We need a paradigm shift and I think Kash Patel’s the man to do it,” former FBI agent and whistleblower Steve Friend said in an interview with “Just The News.” “I think that Kash is eminently qualified to take the helm at the FBI,” Friend added, citing Patel’s experience, transparency and role in debunking Democrats’ “Trump-Russia Collusion” conspiracy theory.
