As liberal media personalities attempt to vilify and discredit President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to head the FBI, former FBI agents with actual, real-world experience in the bureau are speaking out in support of Trump’s selection.

On Saturday, Trump announced that he has chosen attorney Kashyap "Kash" Patel to replace current FBI Director Christopher Wray as part of the incoming administration. But, despite his prior experience as senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council and later as the chief of staff for acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, liberal media began smearing Patel as unqualified and a danger.

In stark contrast, former FBI agents are stepping forward to voice their support for Trump’s choice of Patel, including:

  • Former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jeff Danik
  • Former FBI Special Agent Stuart Kaplan
  • Former FBI Agent Dal Rae Beach
  • Former FBI Agent Daniel Boyer
  • Former FBI Agent Ben Sothers
  • FBI whistleblower Steve Friend

“This guy is completely and 100% qualified to run that organization. He's what's needed today. He's the right fix,” Danik told Just the News, cheering Patel’s promise to end the political weaponization of the FBI. “I think this is personal, that he's been a victim himself of the system.”

A large number of current FBI agents are “highly, highly supportive” of both Patel and President-elect Trump, Danik noted.

Kaplan called Patel an “excellent choice” to reform the FBI in an interview on “Jesse Watters Primetime”:

“KP the wrecking ball that is going to shake the FBI foundation and he’s going to realign and reinstitute the integrity and the level of trustworthiness that has been eroded in the last four years.”

“I embrace the chance to see that the political and weaponization gig at the FBI is over,” Parker, who says she left the bureau because it “began to crumble,” said in an interview on Fox News Channel.

Beach, Boyer and Sothers all endorsed Patel in interviews with The Washington Times, calling him the right man to head the FBI because he’s willing to do what’s necessary to end the toxic culture that permeates the bureau.

"I think that is the kind of person that we needed at the FBI, because you just see so many people who don't want to rock the boat,” Beach said, lauding Patel’s "amazing background in national security."

“I can tell you the vast majority of agents are just so sick of the same old corruption and FBI management,” Boyer said, touting Patel as a “no-nonsense guy” who will shake things up.

"He's a really transparent guy who was a public defender, so he understands due process to an extent that most people won't," Sothers said, echoing the belief that Patel is the right agent for change at the FBI. Sothers also praised Patel for having his priorities straight:

"It seems like he prioritizes the Constitution and the American people over political initiatives, which is how an FBI director should be."

“We need a paradigm shift and I think Kash Patel’s the man to do it,” former FBI agent and whistleblower Steve Friend said in an interview with “Just The News.” “I think that Kash is eminently qualified to take the helm at the FBI,” Friend added, citing Patel’s experience, transparency and role in debunking Democrats’ “Trump-Russia Collusion” conspiracy theory.
