“Illegal aliens may be crawling out of the woodwork in D.C., but our officers will not stop until our nation's capital is safe and prosperous once again,” U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) declared Wednesday, cheering President Donald Trump’s deployment of federal officers to the city.

“Illegally present 32-year-old Guatemalan national Ludwin Lopez Hernandez was arrested on an administrative warrant and is now in our custody awaiting a deportation decision,” ICE added in one of a series of social media posts including video.

“LAST NIGHT IN D.C. ICE and its federal partners wasted no time helping D.C. police restore order to the capitol (sic) city,” ICE wrote, introducing video from the scene.

“ICE special agents and U.S. Park Police are conducting enforcement operations in Washington, D.C. today on the national mall,” ICE wrote, providing video of its air and land surveillance and crediting Pres. Trump for his leadership:

“Thanks to @POTUS’s leadership, our capital city will once again become a beacon of pride and safety for all Americans.”
