“Should Letitia James face the same $355 million penalty she pushed on Trump?” Fox News Host Laura Ingraham asks in a poll she posted on her X.com social media account Friday afternoon.
Ingraham’s poll was inspired by the suggestion of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) who appeared on her show to discuss the criminal referral for potential prosecution of New York Attorney General Letitia James for a crime similar to the one for which she prosecuted President Donald Trump:
“Maybe the appropriate penalty for Letitia James should be a $350 million fine—because that’s what President Trump had to pay.”
As of late Friday afternoon, 97% of respondents had voted “Yes — same crime, same $$,” while 3% answered “No — that’s too extreme.”
The survey will remain live until early Saturday afternoon.

“William Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department on Monday alleging that Ms. James falsified documents and property records to obtain loans,” according to The Washington Times.
‘Ironically, the allegations relate to falsifying financial forms — the same crime for which she prosecuted President Trump during the 2024 campaign,” the article notes regarding the allegation that James committed mortgage fraud.
