While visiting Israel to voice his support for Israelis in their war against terrorism, conservative commentator Mark Levin had to take shelter when Iran launched a terror attack.
“While I was there, my family and I also experienced something the Israelis endure every single day: Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones at us,” Levin recalls in a LevinTV video of his recent visit to the Holy Land:
“My family and I waited in the parking garage of my hotel as Israel’s Iron Dome swatted Iran’s rockets from the sky.”
“I came to Israel to let the people know that I and my family and millions of Americans support them and the war against terror” – support the Biden administration is refusing to provide – Levin says:
“Israel is surrounded by people who literally want to wipe every Jew and American off the face of the Earth. So, I went to Israel to show the support they aren’t getting – especially from the Biden regime.”
The murderous October 7 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas is an example of the violence that has been perpetrated against Jews for centuries, Levin says:
“Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel for over three thousand years. The walls of the old city bear scars of war and siege, reminding me that, to this day, the Jews have had to constantly fight for their freedom and liberty against anti-Semitic hatred and violence.”
In the video, Levin also tours archeological discoveries of historical sites dating back 2,500 years, such as the City of David, where King David’s palace was found, and the Pool of Siloam, where pilgrims purified themselves on way to the temple.
Notably, Levin visits a series of ancient stone steps dating back thousands of years, but not discovered until 2004, leading down to the Pool, as well as a path along the way that Jesus must have walked.
“But, no matter where I went in the Holy City (modern Jerusalem), there were constant reminders of the innocent men, women and children still being held hostage by the terrorists,” Levin says as the video displays signs paying tribute to Hamas’ hostages.
The key to Israel’s survival has always been its willingness and ability to fight back against those who seek to destroy or enslave it, Levin says. “I choose war over tyranny,” he declares, quoting Thomas Payne.
“Right now, there is a stark choice. And that’s the way it is. There is nothing in between,” Levin concludes, explaining that (as has been their history) Israeli’s Jews must either fight back or die:
“As former Prime Minister Golda Meir once said, ‘If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there will be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.’”
