A New York woman who threatened the life of President Donald Trump has been arrested in Washington, D.C. and charged with two federal crimes, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Judge Jeanine Pirro announced Monday.
“An individual by the name of Nathalie Rose-Jones is now in custody charged with two federal crimes for knowingly and willfully threatening to take the life of the president of the United States,” Pirro reports in a video posted to her professional X.com account.
Rose-Jones, who had been previously making threats against the president, traveled to D.C., where she continued to call for Trump to be “eliminated,” Pirro explains in the video.
“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution,” Pirro says in her post thanking the Secret Service agents who aided law enforcement officers in tracking and apprehending Rose-Jones:
“We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated law enforcement partners, especially the Secret Service Special Agents from New York and Washington, D.C., for their tireless commitment to protecting our leaders and our nation.”
“Make no mistake—justice will be served,” Pirro promises.
