Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announced Friday that he is taking his name off the ballot in ten key battleground states, so he won’t throw the presidential election to Democrats – but, he’s staying in the race.

If neither Republican Donald Trump nor Democrat Kamala Harris garner enough votes to win the presidency, he could still become president in a runoff vote, Kennedy said. And, “in my father’s and my uncle’s lifetime, would have won” a general election – because he would have had “a fair system and fair media,” he added.

“I began this journey as a Democrat, the party of my father and my uncle” – a party that was against authoritarianism and censorship – but that party no longer exists, Kennedy said. As a result, he became an Independent in order to run for president and defend the principles of true democracy.

Democracy is still alive in America, but it has become little more than a slogan to Democrats, Kennedy warned.

Today’s Democrat Party has dismantled democracy by using “legal warfare” against him and Trump to keep them off the ballot, “dragging us into court, state after state” and even employing Democrat-appointed judges to try to jail Trump.

Kennedy said he has met and had phone conversations with Trump since a would-be assassin shot the former president at a Pittsburgh campaign rally on July 13.

And, while he strongly disagrees with Trump on some issues, they are “in unity” on others – such as opposition to Democrats’ censorship, government-controlled media, weaponization of government, open borders and “forever wars” – Kennedy said. What’s more, he and Trump were able to passionately, but respectively, disagree on the issues where they clash.

Harris, on the other hand, refused to meet or speak with him when he reached out to her, Kennedy said.

Thus, Kennedy said, he is removing his name from the ballot in ten key battleground states because, otherwise, he would end up turning the election to over Harris and allowing government corruption to continue. And, while he is staying on the ballot in other states, he is throwing his support to Trump’s candidacy.

Transparency is critical to democracy, Kennedy said, noting that he and Trump welcome opportunities to publicly discuss their policies. But, Democrats offer nothing but “smoke and mirrors,” with Harris avoiding interviews, press conferences and debates.

Freedom from censorship is essential to all other rights, Kennedy said, calling out the “DNC-aligned media” for imposing “a near embargo” of Democrats’ opponents.

Since he launched his campaign last October, television networks (ABC, NBC, MSNBC and CNN) gave him only two live interviews, Kennedy said. And, even then, they used the interviews to disparage and smear him, Kennedy explained.

“Governments and oppressors don’t fear lies, they fear the truth,” Kennedy said.
