At 11:40pm Wednesday night, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s launch into (cyber)space: a website documenting DOGE’s success in ferreting out and combating egregious, wasteful government spending of taxpayers’ money.

“DOGE Website is Live! Doge.gov,” the new waste watchdog headed by Musk and created by President Donald Trump announced in a post to Musk’s X.com (formerly Twitter) social media platform.

The @DOGE post lists the types of content Americans can currently access on the website:

1. X feed posts (by @DOGE)

2. Consolidated government org chart - enormous manual effort consolidating 16,000+ offices

3. Summary of the massive regulatory state, including the Unconstitutionality Index (ratio of rules written by unelected bureaucrats to laws passed by Congress)

It also touts the site’s coming attractions and asks for feedback:

Coming soon (targeting Valentines Day):

1. Description/amount of each cost reduction (w/ receipts where applicable)

2. Overall savings scorecard

We will constantly be working to maximize the site’s utility and transparency. Please let us know what else you want to see!

DOGE’s website features the same tagline as that of its X account:

“The people voted for major reform.”

The X feed posts highlight examples of wasteful government spending uncovered by DOGE and the impact of its work, such as the cancellation of the Department of Education’s “$3.0 million contract to write a report that showed that prior reports were not utilized by schools.”

In the “Workforce” section, another webpage titled “Meet the U.S. Government” enables Americans to “Trace your tax dollars through the bureaucracy” of more than 16,000 government offices.

In “Regulations,” the Unconstitutionality Index provides the annual number of laws passed and the number of rules passed by year, and how the ratio of rules-to-laws has grown from 16-1 in 2010 to nearly 19-1 in 2024.

Pres. Trump created the Department of Government Efficiency via an executive order issued on his first day back in the White House, January 20, 2025.
