2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.) received a dose of reality on the campaign trail this week when she asked her audience a simple question about her imagined presidency.
“I’m at the stage of the campaign where I’m kind of like you know I’m just gon’ engage in real talk, I don’t wanna waste your time with anything else,” she said to her audience. “Let’s just have some real talk.”
The crowd applauded the senator and she moved forward with the “real talk.”
Not a good sign for Kamala Harris.

When Harris asked if America was ready for her presidency, the crowd shouted, "no."
America doesn't want someone to be President who will destroy private healthcare, destroy the 2nd amendment, & regulate what you eat. pic.twitter.com/DAfFxWucj1
“So, real talk. In this election, in the last kind of couple months, certainly few weeks there’s this whole conversation that’s been coming up about ‘electability,’ focused on our campaign. Is America ready for that,” Harris asked.
“NO!” several people in the crowd replied without hesitation.
The quick response from the audience appeared to catch Harris off guard and she promptly replied, “Yes, they are.”
Twitter users hopped on this opportunity to let the Californian senator know how they felt about the audiences candid response.
I don't care what side you're on.

Couple people in crowd: no!
KH: yes they are
This lil exchange sums up the Democratic party perfectly 🤷♂️
