If a restaurant has average food but fantastic service, odds are people will come back. When a restaurant has good food and great service, you’ve got it made. The latter seems to be the case for fast-food chain Chick-fil-A.
For the seventh consecutive year, the American Customer Satisfaction Index listed Chick-fil-A as the best fast-food restaurant in the country, according to the “nearly 20,000 random customers” who participated in the survey.
According to the USA Today:
Of the fast-food places, also known as limited-service restaurants, Chick-fil-A came in first place with a score of 83 out of 100. The chain beat out all full-service restaurants included in the survey, including LongHorn Steakhouse, which topped that category with a score of 80.
After Chick-fil-A the top five restaurants in the fast-food category included Domino’s, KFC, Starbucks and Five Guys.
Bringing up the rear, McDonald’s was rated the worst fast-food chain in the U.S.
People who aren’t big chicken sandwich fans — and even people who disagree with some of the stances the chain has taken in the past — go to Chick-fil-A, in part, because of the customer service.
“Service with a smile” is a saying that has withstood the test of time for a reason.
