One dad stole the show this week in a fiery speech aimed at his local school board, decrying Critical Race Theory as teaching his own biracial children that they are somehow inherently oppressed because of the color of his skin.

"I’m biracial. I’m bilingual. I’m multicultural," Brian Echevarria, a black man and local business owner, told members of the Cabarrus County School Board during a public meeting in a video that's now gone viral. "And the fact is, in America, in North Carolina, I can do anything I want, and I teach that to my children. And the person who teaches my little pecan-colored kids that they’re somehow oppressed because of the color of their skin would be absolutely wrong and be absolutely at war with me.

Oh, and he wasn’t done.

The man then pointedly told school board members that parents were “taking back the wheel.”

“We’re taking back the wheel on masks. We’re taking back the wheel from Washington all the way to Raleigh and into our local schools," he said.

"I’ve been a business owner right here in North Carolina. And I deal with white people, black people, Hispanic people. My children deal with everybody. And the racism is only happening at the government level and on the media."

Echevarria also slammed policies allowing male students to compete against female students if they identify as girls.

"I don’t want a man swimming against her in the pool," he told the school board. "And I don’t want boys playing against her in soccer. I don’t let my sons rough her up, you think I’m going to let your sons rough her up?"
