Sunday evening, Demi Lovato tweeted that she was bored and wanted to do a Twitter Q&A. While most of her responses were light-hearted and relatable, one tweet rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way.

When asked what the funniest prank she ever pulled was, she told an interesting little story about her bodyguard, Max.

She wrote “I hired a lady of the night in Vegas and sent her to Max’s hotel room to surprise him. She walked into his room without permission and grabbed him in his ‘area’ and he freaked the f**k out hahahahaha.”

Naturally, a rage fell on Twitter and there were a whole slew of responses similar to these:

Demi Lovato has spoken publicly about her struggles with many personal issues such as her eating disorder, self-harm, and addiction, but apparently sexual assault is just a thing we joke around about.

She later tried to defend herself and said, “I swear I could tweet something about craving jelly beans and it would offend someone.”

She even had the audacity to defend herself again, tweeting, “For all of those coming at me rn, listen to the lyrics of Warrior and maybe you’ll have more compassion for someone who made a simple mistake. Of all people I know about sexual abuse. You don’t have to educate me.”

Finally, Demi realized she was in the wrong, deleted the tweet, and apologized, saying she was "so sorry if anyone was offended.”

A forced apology is hardly an apology and she didn’t apologize for her actions. She just apologized for telling everyone about the prank and exposing how insincere she really was.

What's most shocking about this story is how nearly no one in the national news media covered it. The only notable coverage was in Huffington Post and People Magazine with a headline diverting from the topic: “Demi Lovato Hints She Was Sexually Abused After Fans Accuse Her of Harassing Staffer.”

The double standards of the liberal media are so poignant here. Apparently for people like Joy Behar it’s only disgusting when President Trump grabs peoples' genitals.
