Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) doesn’t mince words when it comes to his vision of what his state should be and what he says the voters want from him.

During a press conference at a school in New Port Richey, Florida on Tuesday, DeSantis reiterated a declarative comment he’s previously made about his state after speaking about teacher recruitment efforts.

What I’ve said in the state of Florida — cause we’ve taken on woke corporations, we’ve taken on ESG [Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance] — obviously in the classroom we’ve battled a lot of ideologies. But what I’ve said is that the state of Florida is the place where woke goes to die. We are not going to let this state descend into some sort of woke dumpster fire. We’re going to be following common sense. We’re going to be following, you know, facts, and that’s just really, really important.

So, if you want push communistic, authoritarian wokeism, the state of Florida isn’t currently the place for you.

For context, “Woke” is an ideology for people who want to be part of a permanent victim class, no matter how much power they gain through claiming some sort of oppression.
