The suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, a high profile sex trafficker believed to have evidence incriminating some of the most influential people in global politics, has not gone without its share of public outrage. As conspiracy theories trend on social media and almost every commentator under the sun -- left and right -- deride the staff of the Metropolitan Correctional Center for their gross incompetence, none seem to be more upset than those at the Department of Justice, AG William Barr in particular

And Hell hath no fury like Bill Barr’s scorn.

According to Reuters:

The U.S. Justice Department on Tuesday announced a staff shakeup at the federal jail where financier Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in an apparent suicide while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, temporarily reassigning the warden and placing two corrections officers on administrative leave.

“The announcement was made hours after President Donald Trump said he wanted a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death,” the story continues.

James Petrucci will replace Shirley Skipper-Scott as warden of the MCC. Hopefully he, unlike his predecessor, can keep high profile prisoners integral to monumental cases from killing themselves.
