Friends don’t let friends have their oil supply sabotaged by smug Hollywood elites. That’s why Canadians should be warned not to allow celebrity activism to encourage them to shut down a major gas pipeline.

We know how much the climate change activism from the private jet, mega yacht-having class has damaged our own country and led to skyrocketing energy prices, so to our neighbors up north...DON’T BUY IT!

According to Fox News, actors Mark Ruffalo, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Stiller and other celebrity climate change warriors have composed an open letter to the Royal Bank of Canada, telling company to pull its support from the Coastal GasLink pipeline.

The letter urges that the bank “withdraw support from the Coastal GasLink pipeline, effective immediately."

These celebrities have accused the major Canadian oil pipeline of being a danger to the climate and abusing indigenous land.

“City National Bank's parent company Royal Bank of Canada is bankrolling the climate crisis and violating the rights of Indigenous Peoples," the letter stated.

Doesn’t that sound familiar? That gives us flashbacks to the hysteria surrounding the now canceled Keystone XL Pipeline. Celebrities raged against the pipeline’s construction throughout the Trump years, claiming it would pose the same dangers to the environment and indigenous lands.

The minute Biden got into office, he ended construction of the pipeline for the sake of appeasing the climate change-obsessed left. In addition to killing the pipeline and all the jobs of the people working on it – 11,000 jobs were cut instantaneously – Biden also “directed a pause in federal oil and gas lease sales in his first days in office, citing worries about climate change.”

Don’t our current gas prices make you just wanna thank the Leo DiCaprios and Mark Ruffalos of the world?

The letter also contains signatures from more than 60 famous people, including Justin Timberlake, Scarlett Johansson, Jane Fonda and Robert Downey, Jr. City National Bank has been dubbed the “Bank to the Stars,” so Hollywood seems to be betting it’ll have some influence on the bank’s parent company and encourage it to kill the pipeline.

To make their pleas more apparent, a few of the celebs who signed the letter starred in an anti-pipeline PSA video warning against Royal Bank of Canada’s involvement with the Coastal GasLink Pipeline.

“Right now, major banks like the Royal Bank of Canada are financing a fracked gas pipeline bulldozing through the land of the Wet’suwet’en nation in Northern British Columbia, Canada," "Avengers star Mark Ruffalo said in the video.

The video accused the bank and the company in charge of the pipeline of the not getting the consent of local indigenous tribes, though Coastal GasLink did respond by saying they've been looking to consult with “Wet’suwet’en Houses through the Office of the Wet’suwet’en and the elected leadership” throughout the project.

The Royal Bank of Canada has yet to respond to Hollywood. And that’s good. The best it can do is ignore them.
