It’s not just soft, weak parents that have taught their children to grow up to be victims. Indoctrination centers — ahem, universities and colleges — have employed a generation of activists to brainwash students into becoming some of the most selfish, weak-minded people in our society.

University of Toronto Psychology professor Dr. Jordan Peterson — an educator that promotes free speech and freedom of thought — joined Fox News on Tuesday to discuss the ever-increasing problems facing universities not only in Canada, but the U.S. as well.

Here’s part of what Peterson said:

Increasingly — and this isn’t only the case in the universities — people are being taught by ideologues, not by educators. And, ideologues have a very simple way of looking at the world. They reduce it to a few principles, like inequality and unfairness and power. Those would be the fundamental principles at the moment that are operating on the radical Left. They’re on an ideological campaign, and that’s increasingly the case in elementary, junior high and high schools as well. Mostly because the faculties of education are full of people who are radical.

Peterson brings up a good point, because we see on a more regular basis those that promote equality of outcome instead of equality of opportunity. Big difference!

To use a few of Peterson’s words, professors and the students who buy their BS use their perceived “inequality” to complain about “unfairness” towards them. In doing so, universities sometimes capitulate to their perennially triggered so often that the power in the relationship turns over the “victims.”

Most interesting was Peterson’s assessment of where this influx of “ideologues” came from and why they infiltrated the education system.

“Part of it’s still a hangover from the 1960s, I would say, and perhaps even a bit of a hangover from the Cold War,” Peterson said. “But, I also think the universities made a dreadful mistake expanding their humanities purview to include disciplines like Women’s Studies and these Ethnic Studies disciplines, which aren’t disciplines. They’re pseudo-disciplines at best, and they have very, very low academic standards and they’re corrupting the rest of the enterprise.”

We constantly hear of people who have mountains of debt resulting from loans to pay for their “education.” One of the reasons for their continued uphill climb up the mountain of debt are these pointless degrees that get you nowhere of consequence in life.

Peterson has seen his “fair share” of Socialistic tactics used on college campuses. We’re just glad Peterson’s around to shed some very enlightened light on the problem education systems around the world are facing.
