After being questioned by Republican Darrell Issa on whether or not he would give himself an A- on controling gas prices Energy Secretary Chu said he would give himself "a little higher" than and A-. He also said that the "tools we have at our disposal are limited" for controling gas prices but he has "been doing everything I can to get long term solutions".

A longer clip of the exchange between Issa and Chu can be seen here.

As of 3/19/2012 the US Energy Information Administration reports that the average price for gas in the country is $3.87.
