Shane Gillis is a comedian known for getting himself kicked off of Saturday Night Live after demands from the woke mob on social media. He was later invited back to host the show, stirring up woke-world social media again. Now, he’s featured in a Bud Light ad, and after the Dylan Mulvaney trans-disaster March Madness partnership in 2023, this beer promotion is actually funny.

Anheuser-Busch released an ad Monday starring Gillis as a football coach with a player facing possible discipline.

The ad seems to strike positive reviews with many outlets. You can watch it below.

“It's very funny and it's okay to admit it. Now, will this be enough to save Bud Light? Absolutely not, but it does signal someone at the company has finally wised up,” Outkick reports.

“The comedian portrayed a ‘football coach’ in a hilarious new Bud Light ad that dropped just before college football season could kick into full swing,” SI.com says.

“The immediate response to the commercial seems positive. In particular, viewers said that Steven Gerben, who appears in the commercial alongside Gillis, stole the show,” according to Wide Open Country.

Them – “The best of what’s queer” reported on the Gillis/ Anheuser-Busch partnership under the headline:  Bud Light Is Partnering With a Comedian Who Was Fired From SNL for Anti-Gay Slurs

“Still in the throes of last year’s exhausting anti-transgender consumer boycott, Anheuser Busch announced a new Bud Light advertising partner this week: anti-“woke” comedian Shane Gillis.”

Them later noted:

“Though he eschews the label of “conservative comedian,” his jokes have still endeared him to the right, boosting him to prominence as a survivor of ‘cancel culture.’”

Like I said, positive reviews all around.
