Why does it seem when they can’t win, leftists always want to change the rules?

A transgender Democrat was disqualified from running for a seat in the Ohio House of Representatives because the candidate did not disclose their former name (perhaps that’s not all that’s not disclosed and tucked away - like being a biological man.)

"The only thing that we can do is try to fight back and that's why that's why there are so many trans candidates in Ohio," transgender Vanessa Joy told News 5 Cleveland.

Ohio law requires all candidates to list on their signature petitions for office any name changes they’ve had in the last five years. But since transgenders don’t believe the rules of science and biology apply to them, it seems some think Ohio laws shouldn’t apply to them either.

Case Western Reserve University elections law professor Atiba Ellis told News 5, "It would be fair for the candidate to disclose their identity including prior names so that the people and their representatives in the state government would be able to vet that person and know exactly who they are.”

That might be nice. But the left generally doesn’t want to let you “know exactly who they are.”

There is some controversy though, as the law is not currently listed on the candidate requirement guidelines on the Ohio Secretary of State’s website. But even if Joy had known, it’s unclear if the political hopeful would have complied.

"I would have had to have my dead name on my petitions," Joy told News 5. "But in the trans community, our dead names are dead; there's a reason it's dead — that is a dead person who is gone and buried."

Except that is literally not true. That person is above ground, alive and is simply trying to bury the truth.
