It’s a good thing to have supportive friends when you’re going through a difficult time.

Nick Cannon, an actor, comedian, artist, and friend of Kevin Hart, came to his friend’s defense on Saturday after Hart faced backlash over tweets he posted several years ago.

You’ll remember that Hart was basically forced to step down from hosting the 2019 Oscar’s because of so-called “anti-gay” tweets he posted in 2010 and 2011 -- tweets that he had already addressed in the past.

Cannon used the Left’s social media tactics against them and dug in the depths of some leftist comediennes Twitter pages finding some “homophobic” or “anti-gay” tweets to prove a point.

*WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE*

The actor posted the tweets not to force these women to give a phony celeb apology but rather to ”question why so much backlash was given to Hart when homophobic jokes have been made for some time by comics both male and female.”

As the IndieWire reports, Cannon’s point seems to be that political correctness nor silence should be a part of any comedian’s jokes.

When a Twitter user confronted Cannon for posting these tweets and recommended he audit his own, Cannon replied, “Nope!! You know I’ve been saying f***ed up s**t since twitter started! I don’t play that politically correct bulls***! F**k politics!! Only Truth!”
