Democratic Governor Tony Evers has accepted federal assistance in Kenosha, Wisconsin, according to President Donald Trump.
“We will NOT stand for looting, arson, violence, and lawlessness on American streets.” Trump said in a tweet Wednesday. Trump noted that Portland should accept his offer of federal assistance as well.
We will NOT stand for looting, arson, violence, and lawlessness on American streets. My team just got off the phone with Governor Evers who agreed to accept federal assistance (Portland should do the same!)...

Riots have continued in the region following the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
On Tuesday, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ that Governor Evers had turned down federal assistance.
Perhaps after realizing that the rioting is impacting voters and presidential polls, the left is becoming less supportive of the violent activity.
