Finally, the case of the mysterious, “alleged” manifesto of trans Tennessee Christian school shooter Audrey Hale will be left up to the courts. While law enforcement and federal authorities play a proverbial game of hot potato with documents that could shed a lot of light on a tragedy that, frankly, doesn’t have a lot of answers to the many questions that abound, one organization decided to take matters into their own hands and try to get the manifesto in question released to the public.

Judicial Watch filed a public records lawsuit about documents concerning the shooting, “including the reported ‘manifesto’ written by the female shooting suspect,” according to a release by Judicial Watch. The suit was put forth “on behalf of retired Hamilton County Sheriff James Hammond and the Tennessee Firearms Association, Inc. (“TFA”) (No. 23-0542-III).”

While Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) Director David Rausch recently attempted to downplay the importance of the manifesto by claiming calling it a “manifesto” is a “mischaracterization” and that they amounted to nothing more than “some journal type rantings” — which is pretty much the definition of a manifesto — Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton sounded to be done with the excuses.

“Tennessee authorities have cited no credible reason for hiding the killer’s ‘manifesto’ about this deadly school shooting of three young children and three school employees,” said Fitton. “Politics shouldn’t trump transparency and the public safety. The public has an urgent right to know the details of this manifesto. That a public records lawsuit is required to try to access this key document is a scandal.”

The TFA had previously made multiple requests regarding information into the case of the shooting, with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department reportedly denying such requests “without identify [sic] any underlying criminal case or even a potential defendant.”

To not be given any substantive reasons as to why the alleged manifesto hasn’t been released yet, it doesn’t aid the value of trust the public might’ve had left for “intelligence” agencies to continue to this game of cat and mouse.

People died. There seems to have been specific motivations for their deaths. For once, intelligence agencies need to develop a level of humanity and give the victims’ families some sense of closure as to why they no longer have their loved ones.
