Five of the Most Cringeworthy Moments From Biden's State of the Union

President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address was, in a word, largely incomprehensible.

OK, so that's two words. But I add “largely” to say that some of his comments didn’t make sense – at least, grammatically. The problem is that even the parts that could be understood clearly and didn’t require subtitles didn’t make much sense logically, reading more like a mad libs of left-wing talking points that got plenty of applause from the left side of the aisle, but not the left side of the brain.

Here are five of the more ridiculous moments from Biden’s State of the Union - if you can understand them.

1. Ukrainians? Iranians? Urainians? ….who?

Biden appeared to forget who he was praising during his shout-out to Ukraine.

2. “Lower your costs, not your wages.”

Er…that’s not exactly how economics work, Joe.

3. “We need to secure our border.”

You mean like Trump was doing before you came along and illegal immigration skyrocketed to record highs?

4. “The vaccine can stop the spread of these diseases.”

During a rambling moment that seemed to veer sharply off-prompter, Biden again peddled the debunked myth that the COVID vaccine can “stop the spread” of the coronavirus, when in fact his own health officials have long noted that the vaccine does not stop transmission, but can only prevent serious disease in those who contract it.

5. Biden says we need to “stop looking at COVID as a partisan dividing line."

You know, the exact opposite of what his party has done for the past two-plus years.

Honorable mention: Chuck Schumer…just being Chuck Schumer.

The New York Democrat appeared not to know when to clap during Biden’s remarks on taxes.

For all the hour-plus-long speech was filled with falsehoods, missteps and "malarky," Biden's speech included little to no tangible plan on how he intends to address historic inflation, secure our porous Southern border, get gas prices under control, restore America's standing on the world stage, address parents' concerns about the nation's failing education system, or deal with massive crime waves sweeping across U.S. cities.

But whatever his plan is to deal with these and countless other issues facing the American people, one thing is abundantly clear: whatever the plan is, it's going to include spending an awful lot more of your money.
