The day after a national holiday leading into a weekend doesn't provide for very much Earth-shattering news. But one group of people reportedly touring the White House got what could be the surprise of a lifetime when President Donald Trump showed up and took the time to greet the somewhat large crowd.
Trump stopped to shake hands, pose for pictures and joke around a little bit with the throng of smiling people.
Take a look:
"That's a great crowd of people, and we had a phenomenal crowd last night," Trump told the media, also referencing the crowd at the "Salute to America" celebration.
A crowd of what looked like tens of thousands of people joined the president in celebrating the U.S. military, watching on between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.
