So, this is apparently happening.

A man claiming to be a descendant of Founding Father and former President George Washington is suing President Donald Trump for living in the White House and not paying rent.

According to TMZ:

A dude named William Feegba is trying to take Trump to court over an alleged landlord tenant breach -- suing the Prez for the 1 full year he's been staying at the White House, and demanding he fork over $240k in unpaid rent at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. at a rate of $25k/month.

Sure, the math doesn't add up. And okay, Washington never lived in the White House. But, Washington did pick the site for the future presidential home.

According to the White House website:

Our first president, George Washington, selected the site for the White House in 1791. The cornerstone was laid in 1792 and a competition design submitted by Irish-born architect James Hoban was chosen. After eight years of construction, President John Adams and his wife, Abigail, moved into the unfinished house in 1800.

FYI, Washington died in 1799.

I'm just trying to think of some rationale that doesn't make Feegba look like a total kook. But, since Feegba has allegedly been filing these lawsuits since 1977 - when Jimmy Carter was president - the odds of Feegba's "kooklessness" are long.

Whatever the validity of Feegba's case might be, TMZ's claims of a lawsuit like this even existing seems plausible enough for them.
