Imagine not too long ago that a statement that probably made sense to most people was taken as violent rhetoric. We would’ve laughed in your face and told you to grow a pair. Nowadays, because people look to be offended so they can claim victimhood, saying those same statements brings out the people with pitchforks and torches. And while you might think I’m talking about Antifa or Black Lives Matter (BLM), you’d be wrong.

Your average, everyday American — at least a portion of them — thinks that saying that “Only AMERICANS should vote in AMERICAN elections” is bigoted and hateful. But because Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said the aforementioned phrase, it's gotta be wrong.

Oh no! God forbid someone actually thinks Americans should decide the direction of the United States of…America! Alas, Twitter being the cesspool of awful that it is, people hated on Jordan for making such an “outlandish” and “fascist” statement.

Here’s a sampling of some of the responses Jordan received (Note: The examples given are not from the most intelligent among us. Please keep the eye rolling to a minimum. They don’t know any better.)

Jordan stated an opinion, so how can this be construed as a lie? And, just saying "Trump bad" isn't an argument - it's a mental illness.

Except it's not THEIR community. It's the community of people legally in Washington D.C., and the illegal immigrants within it are allowed to live there. Not only that, but that "community" is on AMERICAN soil. It's not on global soil. This would be like if I illegally migrated to Guatemala and then expected to be able to vote in their elections. First, I would be deported almost immediately. But when the U.S. does it, it somehow violates a criminal's - which is what you're considered if you do something illegal - human rights.

What does that have to do with the issue. For those that don't know, this is one of those Twitter accounts that seemingly exists purely to do the bidding of the DNC. They deliver constant straw-man arguments that don't have to do anything with the topic so long as it sows discord among the respondents.

Second, I didn't see this waste of a checkmark complain about voting to "decertify a legitimate Presidential election" when multiple Democrats did the same after former President Donald Trump was elected.

Jordan said nothing wrong, which is how any rational thinking, pro-American citizen should've taken it upon viewing.
