In an appearance on "Hannity" Thursday night, conservative talk show host and political commentator Laura Ingraham discussed the ongoing war of words between Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Ingraham argued that the two candidates spending so much time attacking each other qualifies as a "big mistake" and called for a “ceasefire” between the two camps.

“I believe both of them are more outsiders than not,” she said. “Cruz and Trump together have a really big chunk of the electorate. So for now, I think they should do more of focusing on what the establishment failures are and then move forward. There will be plenty of time for them to take on each other later on in the contest.”

“I think the only one who benefits from this right now is Marco Rubio,” Ingraham added. “I think it’s a big mistake for both of them to take up all this time going after each other. It begins to look like a sideshow.”

“I think they should be talking about real problems facing real Americans and sticking it to the establishment,” she argued.
