A Trump supporter was kicked out of Robert De Niro’s production of “A Bronx Tale” on Saturday after holding up a “Keep America Great” flag during curtain call.
More than likely, this was a reactionary protest to De Niro’s “F**k Trump. It's no longer 'Down with Trump,' it's 'F**k Trump'” comment on stage at the Tony Awards earlier this month that resulted in an uproar of applause from the audience.
Hair and makeup supervisor Brian Strumwasser wrote on Instagram, “Whoever the low life scumbag who thinks it’s ok to post their political views at a Broadway show and disrespect everyone there who paid to watch a show that is ALL ABOUT INCLUSION was thankfully removed from the theater Saturday night.”
Strumwasser also said that this protest was “disrespectful” of the cast and crew.
Anyone else see the irony? I guess they forgot about that time in 2016 when the entire cast of Hamilton took to the stage -- at curtain call -- to lecture then-Vice President Elect Pence about their political concerns which was followed by a sea of boo’s as Pence left the theater. But that’s entirely respectful, right, Brian?
Political opinions clearly only belong in the theatre when they’re liberal.

This is the first political protest of a theatre production since audience members Laura Loomer and Jack Posobiec jumped on stage during the murder scene in “Julius Caesar” where Caesar was meant to mirror Donald Trump.
