ESPN made a lot of liberals sad during last night’s College Football Playoff national title game Monday night.

At halftime of the championship bout between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Ohio State Buckeyes, the halftime crew took a break of their normal football analysis to broadcast a message played by a certain individual that makes a lot of people happy, and a lot of other quite unhappy. That person was Donald J. Trump, who is now the 47th President of the United States as of Monday afternoon.

Here’s the roughly 90-second message that ESPN played:

We are so back, people.

Don’t lose sight of how insane it is that ESPN, of all networks, broadcasted this. After all they’ve done to champion woke causes and spew anti-Trump rhetoric in recent years, airing a message from someone the left's deemed a Nazi must have broken the feeble liberal brains of everyone in the production room.

Of course, seeing Trump sent countless libs on X into a frenzy, causing many to shout in outrage that they would dare show his face on a broadcast.

Look, I’m not saying I want to see Trump’s face on every national sports broadcast from here on out, that would be ridiculous. And I do generally want politics to be kept out of sports. But this was a situation where it made sense to break that rule. After all, Trump had just been inaugurated a mere nine-ish hours before that segment, so seeing this mini-address to the people makes sense.

But don’t tell that to the liberals. They’re probably still seething about this video.
