Being a supporter of the LGBT worldview causes you to do some pretty ridiculous things. Look no further than the actions of New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Khalen Saunders as an example.

On NFL networks good morning football, the six-year veteran said that he wants to host a camp specifically for LGBT community members. He believes that football is not for everyone at the moment, and he wants to change that by hosting this camp.

“That’s my goal: to continue to spread positive energy around that, because football is for everybody,” Saunders said on the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football. “Football is for all.”

“Being an ally is more than just saying that I support, but it’s also kind of showing up,” he continued. “Being in the NFL is very male-dominant and heterosexual dominant, and it’s not really…it feels as though there’s not really a space for the LGBTQ community.”

As usual, there’s a few things wrong with this perspective.

The first is the assumption that LGBT kids don’t have access to football camps. Is there any proof of an LGBT kid being turned away from a camp because of his or her sexual orientation? Saunders didn’t provide any, which is often the case with people who cried discrimination towards this demographic.

Another thing wrong with this perspective is thinking that football camps are these kids biggest needs. In reality, what they need is to be lovingly told that there is a better design for their sexuality than the choices that they have made. That’s what being a true ally to this demographic would entail.

The most ironic part about this whole situation is that Saunders said anybody who thinks he’s doing something wrong can come try to physically fight him. Apparently, the guy that wants to spread "love" is also just as eager to beat up people who disagree with him.

"If you got a problem with what I’m doing then come beat my ass abt it...actually would be some fun cardio for me," he wrote in a follow-up on X.

There’s a whole lot of hypocrisy coming from Saunders in this situation, but that’s part of the course for anybody that tries to be an “LGBT ally.”
