The San Jose State University (SJSU) Spartans women’s volleyball team has come under fire in recent months after news broke that Blaire Fleming - a player on the team - is a biological male. But despite the fact that about a half a dozen other schools' teams refused to play San Jose State after their own female athletes expressed concerns over fairness and safety, SJSU head coach Todd Kress apparently doesn’t feel even the slightest bit of remorse for letting a boy on his supposedly all-female roster.

Speaking with Fox News, Kress discussed the tumultuous season he faced because of Fleming’s presence on his team. Several schools forfeited matches in the regular season and Mountain West Conference (MWC) championship in protest of Fleming, and even Fleming's co-captain publicly protested the inclusion of a biological male on her team's lineup. In fact, after Boise State sacrificed their chance to reach the NCAA tournament to stand up for truth, they shared a phenomenal response to why they chose not to play SJSU.

While you might expect a little bit of humility from Kress for forcing women to choose between playing a male or forfeiting everything they've worked so hard for, he showed none whatsoever.

"I will not sugarcoat our reality for the last two months. Our team prepared and was ready to play each match according to established Mountain West and NCAA rules of play. We did not take away anyone’s participation opportunities," Kress wrote in a statement to Fox.

"Sadly, others who for years have played this same team without incident chose not to play us this season. To be clear, we did not celebrate a single win by forfeiture. Instead, we braced for the fallout. Each forfeiture announcement unleashed appalling, hateful messages individuals chose to send directly to our student-athletes, our coaching staff and many associated with our program," Kress continued.

I don’t know what’s worse: having a biological male competing on your women’s volleyball team and doing nothing about it, or playing the victim card when other teams take issue with it. Both are infuriating, irresponsible, and cruel to everyone else.

Despite all the calls for Fleming to be removed, the NCAA sat back and did nothing (shocker) and let this situation unfold. Then Kress doubled down on it by riding the unfair advantage he had with Fleming to the MWC championship game (where they thankfully lost) and called others the problem for having a measure of common sense.

What a joke of a response.
