Add religious persecution to the stain of political lawfare and double standards Joe Biden’s presidency will leave behind.
As our taxpayer-funded universities became Jihadist boot camps and churned out aspiring Islamic terrorists for over a year, the Biden administration was too busy waging war on what they clearly believed to be a more dangerous threat: Christian institutions who refuse to transform their schools into woke re-education centers.
While Christian institutions and career colleges make up less than 10 percent of America’s schools, a recent report conducted by the American Principles Project (APP) reveals they made up nearly 70 percent of the institutions penalized by the Department of Education’s Office of Enforcement. Biden’s administration established the office in 2021 as a place where people can easily rat out their schools for allegedly violating the Higher Education Act. But the APP suggests they used their enormous pot of government funding, which has recently increased “by nearly 600 percent,” to “shut down colleges and universities that don’t align with the Administration’s woke agenda.”
This includes disenfranchising “two of the nation’s most prominent Christian universities” by fining Grand Canyon University for $37.7 million and Liberty University for $14 million. The Department of Education also unsuccessfully tried to prevent Grand Canyon University from becoming a non-profit institution in a recent legal battle that was ultimately won by the school.

But the Biden administration has used other intimidation tactics listed by the APP, including “harrass[ing] schools operating in good faith with scrutinize-and-fine investigation,” and “cut[ting] off or threaten[ing] colleges’ and universities’ access to Title IV funding," the APP found.
Biden only seems to recognize that particular anti-discrimination law when he can weaponize it to impose exactly what it stands against.
During his first term, President re-elect Donald Trump expanded Title IV to outlaw anti-Jewish discrimination, displayed overwhelmingly by our most secular Ivy Leagues today. Add that to their constant hatred toward Christans on campus.
Still, the APP continues that all other institutions - including those that have allowed rampant antiSemitism on their campuses - have been allowed to fly under the radar while Biden “has almost exclusively targeted Christian universities.” Similarly, the federal Department of Education has unevenly applied the Clergy Act, a law that forces institutions to report crimes on their campuses.
“Over the last 10 years,” according to the APP, the department has “issued nearly 75 fines for Clery Act violations, totaling $27.5 million in penalties. Twenty of those, more than a quarter, were against Christian colleges and universities.”
“The average fine against a Christian school was $815,000, compared to $228,571 against public and private institutions,” the report continues.
This double standard seems to align with President Biden’s mantra that “no one is above the law” - except for leftwing indoctrination camps and his son.
