A widow of the 9/11 terrorist attacks had some harsh words for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris during Wednesday's 21st annual remembrance ceremony in New York City. She did not hesitate to call them out to their faces.
“It’s outrageous that our government would ever entertain the thought of granting the terrorists a plea deal,” the widow of New York City Fire Department Assistant chief Gerard A. Barbara stated during her speech at Ground Zero.
In July, Biden’s Department of Defense announced it had reached a plea bargain with three 9/11 masterminds who have been held at Guantanamo bay for years since being accused of plotting the deadliest terrorist attack in modern history. The deal would have taken the death penalty off the table for them. But after family members of some of the nearly 3,000 victims got wind of it, so the bargain was scratched immediately.

“If not for the outcry of the 9/11 community, who knows what might have transpired,” Barbara’s wife told the crowd, which included Biden, Harris and former President Donald Trump.
Then, the widow took a shot at Biden’s “flippant” remark given to his press gaggle the day prior, when he casually listed his plan to “do 9/11,” as if it were nothing more than a meaningless errand on his daily itinerary.
“But please remember that the September 11th families live it everyday. Not just on the anniversary,” the widow added.
“It has been 23 years and the families deserve justice and accountability.”
