It is no surprise Boston’s leftist Mayor, Michelle Wu, is apologizing for the death of a knife-wielding suspect, who was shot after allegedly trying to stab people.

An off-duty officer caught the violent thug targeting two would-be victims near a Chick-fil-A in a busy part of the Massachusetts capital on Saturday night. As he pulled out a knife preparing to attack them, the officer quickly identified himself and asked the assailant to drop his weapon.

Since he did not comply, according to Boston’s Police Commissioner, the officer had no other choice but to discharge his gun and neutralize the threat. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two innocent people would have been injured and potentially even murdered if it weren’t for the heroic actions of that cop.

But Wu refused to offer him any gratitude or express an iota of sympathy for those he saved. Instead, she offered her condolences and “all of our thoughts” to the bloodthirsty criminal’s family.

That’s fitting for a mayor who broadcasts her refusal to enforce federal immigration law and remained mum after MS-13 gang members, murderers and rape suspects were all busted in her city, recently. As MRCTV previously reported, Wu wants to abolish the gang registry and currently allows illegal aliens to vote in Boston’s local elections.

She’s just your typical big city progressive who believes the rights of her law-abiding constituents end where the feelings of society’s worst offenders begin.
