An Afghan national let through our borders by the Biden administration has just been caught plotting an ISIS terrorist attack on Election Day.

The FBI just arrested 27 year-old Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi for allegedly conspiring to “commit a violent attack, on Election Day, here on our homeland," said the department’s director, Christopher Wray in a statement on Tuesday.

Tawhedi was motivated by the terrorist Islamic State in Iraq and ISIS, according to his statement.

“As part of the plot, the defendant allegedly took steps to liquidate his family’s assets, resettle members of his family overseas, acquire AK-47 assault rifles and ammunition, and commit a terrorist attack in the United States,” added the FBI.

The Biden-Harris administration invited Tawhedi and over 70,000 others into the U.S. in September, 2021, after their disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, according to The New York Post.

Tawhedi had been living in Oklahoma City on a Special Immigrant visa when the FBI discovered “ISIS propaganda on his iCloud and Google account,” including a video of Tawhedi describing to two children “the rewards a martyr receives in the afterlife.”

They included the typical promises: exemption “from the sufferings of the grave, placed in heaven,” getting “married to 72 virgins,” and “receiving a crown full of jewels,” according to the criminal complaint against Tawhedi.

CBS News claims FBI investigators even caught Tawhedi scoping out security cameras in Washington D.C., including the cameras that surveilled the White House and Washington Monument.

Currently Tawhedi only faces up to 20 years in prison for “conspiring and attempting to provide material support to ISIS.”

“Terrorism is still the FBI's number one priority, and we will use every resource to protect the American people."

Perhaps more people would actually believe that  - if they didn’t spend much of their time probing disgruntled mothers and Catholics, and showing up at random people’s houses for mean tweet issues.
