Isn’t it interesting how DEI demands employees must be hired based on race in the name of “anti-racism,” yet its proponents call you racist for saying those employees were hired based on race?
Scott Jennings, who seems to be CNN’s only reasonable commentator, was berated by a panel of shrieking women on Wednesday because he dared to question whether race-based hiring practices implemented by California’s local fire departments could have impeded their handling of the current wildfires ravaging the state.

Crockett started making random comments like how her ancestors built the White House.

“I’m wondering now if your house was burning down, how much do you care what color the firefighters are?” Jennings asked the panel.
Color was apparently the top priority for Marin County’s fire department, which recently vowed to “change” their profession from being “overwhelmingly white and male,” according to NPR.

Jennings claimed the main task, saving people’s lives, was therefore placed on the back burner. But, he was interrupted by his triggered co-panelists before he could get another word out.
“The most educated demographic in this country right now is black women,” interjected Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas).
“Let me be clear,” she snapped, waving her hands at the commentator.
“Because you are [a] woman…or because I know some of the Right has been sharing these photos of the fact that I believe the fire chief may be a woman…or something,” she babbled defensively.

“That has nothing to do with it! We are looking at qualifications,” Crockett claimed, insisting that’s what “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion has always been about.” (Yeah, just not qualifications like…how to extinguish a fire.)
“Don’t just look at the white men. Open it up and recognize that other people can be qualified,” she continued.
She then proceeded on a tangent, claiming it was her “ancestors that built the White House.”
“Stop trying to act as if only white men are the ones that are capable. Because right now you are sitting at a table with three very capable black women,” Crockett whined, once again making herself the victim.
Ironically, she and her race-fixated panel of supporters are acting “as if only white” men are “capable” by implying minorities are not efficient enough to succeed without DEI.
