The Left’s deadly open border policies claimed another victim, this past Thursday.

A Florida mom was pushing her 4-month old infant in a stroller and walking the family dog when she was run over by an illegal alien driving an Amazon truck.

The Venezuelan suspect, Sarahy Parra-Ovalles jumped out of the van, quickly propped the stroller up and placed the toppled infant back into the seat. Then she hopped back inside her vehicle and sped off, leaving the child and dog unattended in the middle of an intersection, while their mother was left “bleeding from her skull,” the New York Post reports.

Parra-Ovalles was arrested, but immediately released back into society, as the mother now suffers a “catastrophic brain injury, a broken skull and a brain bleed,” according to the victim’s attorney, Judd Rosen.

He told the New York Post she was even forced to pump breast milk from her ICU bed, which her husband had to “rush home” to their unharmed baby.

Parra-Ovalles remained in the U.S. past her tourist visa’s expiration date in 2021, but was rewarded with “Temporary Protected Status.” That is how she was able to apply for a work visa.

Her hit-and-run marks the third time she was stopped by authorities. Records show she had previously run a stop sign in 2019 and was charged with “careless” driving a year later, but those infractions were both dismissed.

Somehow, Amazon still thought it was a safe idea to let her deliver packages for them.

But Rosen says this is a phenomenon among rich companies that offer ride and delivery services.

“They’ve sacrificed their safety and standards to increase the speed of delivery,” he told the NYP. “And I’ve seen over the last months and years that the drivers they’re hiring are less and less qualified,” he added.

Amazon recently opened a “Welcome Door” program for non U.S. citizens, and promises to hire 5,000 people deemed “refugees” by the end of 2024.
