Another day, another illegal alien.

Boston’s ICE department announced on Friday that they've arrested an illegal alien charged with the aggravated rape of a child.

Selvin Alex Galvez-Mejia, an illegal from Guatemala, “stands accused of horrifically victimizing a Massachusetts child and represents a significant threat to our neighborhoods,” the department’s statement read.

“We owe it to the children of our New England communities to prioritize public safety by arresting and removing egregious noncitizen threats,” it continued.

That’s apparently not how the progressive local jurisdiction felt.

The Springfield District Court had originally arraigned Galvez on July 18 for “two counts aggravated rape of a child and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older,” according to the statement. Despite the severity of the charge, he was released on bail shortly after.

Galvez-Mejia was therefore free to endanger the residents of Boston for nearly three more months, until ICE took custody of him on October 13.

ICE has no clue long he’d been in our country before the incident.

“Galvez unlawfully entered the United States on an unknown date, at an unknown location and without being inspected, admitted or paroled by a U.S. immigration official,” the statement continued.

He remains in custody, at least for now.
