Rain is now racist!

There’s no such thing as a “natural disaster,” according to one New York professor. It’s the fault of evil white people for controlling the weather! (I wonder where we’ve heard that age-old libel before…)

Colgate University Professor Andrew Horowitz peddled this bizarre conclusion to a group of impressionable undergraduates during a recent guest lecture on the “systemic racism” of hurricanes.

“Disasters are not unpredictable attacks or acts of God that arrive without precedent,” Horowitz told students, arguing, “Their causes and consequences reach across much longer periods of time and space than we commonly imagined."

For example, Horowitz claimed the infamous Hurricane Katrina that ravaged Louisiana in 2005 disproportionately affected black Americans because “Federal housing policies had pushed many African Americans into low-lying, flood-prone areas,” according to the Colgate Maroon-News who wrote a puff piece on his lecture.

By that, one would think he simply meant there are remnants of former policies that allowed racially segregated housing up until the 1960’s.

But he had to tie in every Leftist talking point, blaming the police, school choice policies and efforts meant to aid Katrina’s recovery efforts in order to generalize the brutal effects of nature’s annual hurricane season as the creation of man, specifically white men.

His lecture seems to regurgitate Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent call to distribute disaster relief aid based on race and gender in the name of “equity.”

“We call it the climate crisis, but truly, the crisis we face is one of democracy,” Horowitz added, of course. Because you can’t be a true Marxist ideologue without advocating for government control of “redistribution” in the name of “democracy.”
