Since when did pro-abortionists go from “safe, legal and rare” to “safe, legal and EVERYWHERE?!”
The “journalists” at CBS apparently believe ending a life should be the first solution instead of “the final solution.” They wrote a propaganda piece, echoing the dismay of abortionists who want to stop states from funding pregnancy centers who help women in need find alternatives to killing their unborn babies.
“States that ban or restrict abortion have flooded anti-abortion counseling centers with nearly $500 million in taxpayer funding since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade two years ago,” CBS whines.
The legacy media outlet bases their entire “reporting” on a study conducted by Equity Forward, a “nonprofit advocacy group focused on issues including reproductive rights.” Their study complains that since 1995, 23 pro-life states sent over $1 billion in taxpayer funds to centers “trying to dissuade women from terminating their pregnancies” with “misinformation.”
The “misinformation” began in the above paragraph when CBS re-defined “terminating a pregnancy” as “reproductive.” That is quite the oxymoron!
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, an advocacy group on the other side of the ideological spectrum, fact checked CBS in a response on X, formerly known as Twitter.
This is an odd way of highlighting how states are stepping up their efforts to serve moms and save babies in the Dobbs era.

But then there’s a lot that’s odd about this @CBSNews/@propublica piece

“This is an odd way of highlighting how states are stepping up their efforts to serve moms and save babies in the Dobbs era,” the organization wrote.
“First, Equity Forward is pro-abortion. Their goal is not to improve alternatives for women, it’s to eliminate them. And they’re not shy about it,” SBA added, citing this post from the group:
👏 Our goal is clear — #StopAACs. Parents and people who are pregnant need support, not propaganda. pic.twitter.com/PwBulKBOG8

SBA also shot down a pseudo investigation CBS conducted with the organization ProPublica, which claims a Texas-run pro-life program “does little to document material support for young mothers.”

“In its first full year, 2007, the Texas program provided 22,522 services to ~4,000 clients,” they responded, citing testimonials from two mothers.
For example, Sarah and Claire’s testimonials (from 2021) are just two of thousands pointing to the support and love pregnancy centers show women and families:https://t.co/I3ZAOj5d23

SBA also slammed CBS for refusing to bring up Planned Parenthood, an organization that performs abortions which received nearly $700M in taxpayer funding in the last reported year and is being sued in TX for Medicaid fraud.
“And of course, unlike pregnancy centers, which focus on community-oriented service, Planned Parenthood is also spending millions in the 2024 elections,” they add.
Equity Forward also took to X, praising CBS for their puff-piece:
Anti-abortion centers (AACs) use taxpayer dollars to delay and deter ppl from seeking abortion care—with little to no accountability about how funds are spent. Great to see @CBSnews using our research to spread the word about the dangers of AACs! https://t.co/JPBjgwjjo4

“Great to see @CBSnews using our research to spread the word about the dangers of AACs (Anti-Abortion Centers),” they cheered.
